Why we collect it
To save your learning progress, secure your account, and monitor platform performance and stability.
How we protect it
Using industry-standard bcrypt hashing for passwords and secure, HTTP-only cookies for session management.

Information We Collect
Account Information
When you register for a BrowserCode account, we collect your email address and a securely hashed version of your password. We do not store your password in plain text.
Authentication Data
When you log in, we generate a secure session token. This token is stored in an HTTP-only cookie on your browser and is used to keep you authenticated as you navigate the site.
Platform Analytics
We collect anonymized performance data (such as page load times and Web Vitals metrics) to help us ensure the platform remains fast and responsive. We do not track your individual learning progress for analytics purposes.
Admin Security Logs
For security and auditing purposes, actions performed by administrators within the Admin Panel are logged. This helps us prevent unauthorized access and maintain the integrity of the platform.
What We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect or store the source code you write in the Playgrounds as analytics data.
- We do not sell your email address to third-party marketers.
- We do not use invasive third-party tracking cookies (like Facebook Pixel or Google Analytics tracking IDs) across our platform.
Your Choices and Rights
You have full control over your account. You can:
- Change your password at any time via your Account Settings.
- Revoke active login sessions across all your devices.
- Request the permanent deletion of your account and associated data by contacting our support team.
