Not Allowed

  • Developing or distributing malware

  • Attempting to bypass playground sandboxes
  • Unauthorized access to other users' accounts
  • Automated abuse, scraping, or botting
  • Engaging in illegal activities
  • Harassing or abusing other users

Playground Safety

Our playgrounds execute user-provided code directly in the browser. While we implement isolation mechanisms (such as Web Workers and WebAssembly sandboxing) to prevent malicious code from accessing your local system or our backend infrastructure, you must not actively attempt to exploit or break out of these sandboxes.

Note: Attempting to weaponize the playground environment will result in immediate account termination.

Account Safety

  • Do not share your account password with anyone.
  • BrowserCode staff will never ask for your password.
  • Report any suspicious activity or unauthorized access immediately via the Contact page.

Acceptable Use FAQ

Can I test BrowserCode's security?

No. Active exploitation or probing of BrowserCode's infrastructure is strictly prohibited under this policy. If you believe you have found a vulnerability, you must report it responsibly via our Contact page by selecting the "Security Issue" topic.

What happens if I write an infinite loop?

While we understand that infinite loops are a common mistake when learning to code, intentionally writing malicious loops designed to crash the browser or consume excessive memory is prohibited. Our environment attempts to catch these, but intentional abuse may result in restrictions.

Can I share my account?

No. Accounts are strictly personal. Sharing accounts makes it impossible to accurately track your learning progress and poses a severe security risk.

How do I report a violation?

Please use the Contact page to report any abusive behavior, linking to the specific incident if possible.

Will I get a warning before being banned?

Usually, yes. For minor infractions, we issue warnings. However, for severe violations (e.g., illegal activity, network attacks), we reserve the right to terminate accounts immediately without prior warning.
